Who knew Rosacea could negatively affect eye health? Rosacea is a common dermatologic skin condition most commonly found of the face. It is inflammatory in nature and can be initiated by triggers such as stress, poor gut health, toxic product use and exposure to elements.
Because of this chronic condition often showing up around the eyes and eyelids we see it most often present as symptoms of redness, burning, irritation and dryness. There are several steps we recommend in preventing rosacea flare ups.
We recommend that you utilize a tea tree oil eyelid cleanser to to remove makeup and maintain an environment that reduces inflammation. We suggest WeLoveEyes foaming cleanser, cleansing oil and makeup remover oil all of which are available in our office.
